An early Look At 2021 Stats

We have received a lot of questions about how merchandise sales are looking so far in 2021 compared to 2019...so we decided to share what data we have!

As concerts are returning and bands start to go back on tour, we have received a lot of questions about how merchandise sales are looking so far in 2021compared to 2019...so we decided to share what data we have!

April is when we started to see shows pick up so everything we are sharing in this post is focusing on the last 3 months. Knowing that the number of shows are still picking up and full capacity shows are just starting, we want to be transparent on what our data looks like and how much we have to compare against 2019 for the same time frame.

Although the number of shows in the last 3 months is 11% of 2019, it is still a few thousand shows to start to see what merch sales are starting to look like and what you may expect for the coming season. As of right now, we are seeing early signs that 2021 merchandise sales will be the best year yet with people ready to get back to shows and buy themselves some merch!

These values will change over the coming months as tens of thousands of shows are in the books, so we have built a dashboard that will be updated weekly to monitor how things are changing.

Watch for our announcement email when we officially launch the dashboard. You’ll be able to see how $/head is trending, what different genres are looking like, and even some of the top selling items!
